The Fat Duck

Heston Blumenthal’s 3 Michelin starred restaurant needs little introduction, so it came as no surprise to me that chefs Ivan Brehm and Stefan Cosser think very carefully about their tableware.

They wanted me to look at designing some bespoke items for a new dish they’d been developing on their menu. After a quick but mind-blowing tour of their experimental kitchen, I invited them back to my studio to get involved in the design process.

We produced some mock-ups together and then, based on their very specific requirements, I developed a reproducible, glazed and hardwearing sample in porcelain.
